A 3 day hair masterclass to improve and expand your session styling techniques.
This 3 day hair academy will teach you basic to advanced hair styling techniques to improve your session styling. We will start with product knowledge and key techniques. We will invite two hairstylists working in the fashion industry on international shoots and shows.
This course is designed for makeup artists and hairstylists who want to improve their session styling techniques. We will be providing fundamental hairstyling techniques which you can alter to adapt to your own creative approach.
What will you learn:
-Detailed interactive demonstrations of the core fundamental techniques, essential for hairstylist and makeup artists who need to be able to do both on shoots and shows.
-Product knowledge of different key products.
-the do’s and don’ts of working on set
-which essential products and tools you need in your kit
Suitable for:
-hairstylists wishing to expand their skill set
-makeup artists with basic hair knowledge to expand their knowledge and confidence
-no backstage experience required
what to bring:
-hairdryer
-thongs
-straightener
-diffuser
-combs & brushes
all product will be provided (Sisley, L’Oréal, Bumble & Bumble) and we will be working on styling heads so no need to bring models.

We invite hair stylists who work in the field of fashion and session styling on international shoots and shows.
Marlien Echelpoels is a Belgian hair & makeup artist known for her creative and meticulous work. She works backstage during fashion week and will introduce you to key techniques and product knowledge on day 1.
Ruby Howes is a London/Berlin based hair stylist. Ruby travels the world to teach hairstylists into deepening and perfecting their session techniques with Senzi Education. Ruby will be covering the advanced techniques and styles on day 2 and 3.

1290 euros (excluding 21 % VAT) including refreshing drinks, healhty lunch and snacks and a product goodiebag. We provide a range of brands and products.

When you receive your invoice, 50 % prepayment is required to secure your booking.

The Academy is hosted at Metal Studios, Ijzerlaan 7, 2060 Antwerpen
The studio is located in the north of Antwerp, accessible by tram, bus and car. Parking is free of charge.

Ruby grew up in a creative family of florists. At age 14 she started working in hairdressing as an assistant and then moved to Berlin a few years later.
That’s when she began session styling and assisting artists such as Eugene Souleiman and Gary Gill backstage during fashion week in London, Paris, Milan and New York. She working for brands such as Maison Margiela, Balenciaga, Acne, Hermes, Jil Sander to name a few.
She has a keen eye for beauty and this can be seen through her work in various fashion publications worldwide: Italian Vogue, German Vogue, Numero, ID Germany, High Snobiety, Tank Magazine.

Marlien is a Belgian based hair and makeup artist. She works nationally and internationally on fashion shows and shoots working alongside the leading teams in the fashion industry . Marlien her effortless style and core techniques make her work stand out.
Marliens’ works has been published in magazines such as Numero, Elle, Marie Claire, Officiel and she works with clients such as Meryll Rogge, Wrangler, Bellerose, Marie Jo to name a few.
Marlien will cover the basics of the course on the first day of The Academy.
